Rahul Gandhi Shares Dosa, Coffee With Food Delivery Workers In Bengaluru

Ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections on Wednesday, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared a meal with food delivery and gig workers. On Sunday, he visited the popular Airlines Hotel in Bengaluru to enjoy masala dosa and filter coffee with these workers and heard out their issues and troubles. Later, he even hopped onto the pillion seat with a delivery worker and rode up to two kilometres. The official handle of the Indian National Congress, @INCIndia, shared a video of the meeting that was held on Sunday in Bengaluru. Take a look:

In the video, we could see Rahul Gandhi engaging in a discussion with delivery partners from Dunzo, BlinkIt, Swiggy and Zomato. They shared their concerns over masala dosa and filter coffee and the 52-year-old politician heard them out. According to the Congress, there are over two lakh gig workers in Bengaluru alone and the party has made specific promises for them in their manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly polls.
“Rahul Gandhi ji had a candid conversation with gig workers and delivery partners of Dunzo, Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit etc at the iconic Airlines Hotel in Bengaluru, today,” read the tweet by Congress’ official handle. “Over a cup of coffee and masala dosa, they discussed the lives of delivery workers, lack of stable employment and rising prices of basic commodities. He also keenly listened to why these youngsters had taken up gig jobs, and what their working conditions were like,” they added.
